The White House Open Government Initiative Phase 3 is Open

The White House Open Government Initiative is now in phase three.  The initial Brainstorming phase occured in late May and asked for input on topics for the open government recommendations.  The second, Discussion, phase explored those topics in greater depth.

Now in phase three, the White House is asking for your expertise, knowledge and input to draft recommendations that "translate good ideas and lofty principles into specific actions that can be taken to achieve open government."

This phase is open through June 28th, so make sure to add your input today.

Here are some guidelines from the Open Government Initiative:

Recommendations should be concise and address:

Who? - Who is being directed to do what?
What? - What is the recommendation designed to achieve?
Why? - Why is it important?
How? - How will success be measured?

Each topic can include several recommendations. These recommendations will inform the drafting of an “Open Government Directive” to Executive branch agencies.
